Attention and concentration – a good deal is hidden behind these two terms: namely, the ability to filter out what is important from all the daily information and stimuli, and to focus one’s powers on a specific matter. Neither are talents, which children are born with, but the result of a maturing and learning process, which lasts for an individual length of time. Attention is the ability of the brain to focus itself when perceiving and processing information. This process usually takes place automatically – controlling it and focussing one’s attention on a specific target is called concentration.
